Did you see a dinosaur today – new music video for kids

It’s a normal day in the park. But wait! Is that a T-rex in the bushes? Nah! It’s probably nothing…
“Did you see a dinosaur today?” is a fun music video for kids we shot last summer in the park in Kalmar where I live. The boys had a great time. I love videos with the inflatable T-rex costume so I decided to get one myself. It was a blast shooting this video as you probably can imagine. Hope you like it. 🙂

LYRICS
Did you see a dinosaur today?
Did you see a dinosaur today?

maybe you think they’re not around
maybe you think they’re all in the ground
then one night you hear a sound
the footsteps of a million pounds!

pa-pa-pa! pa-pa-pa!…

Did you see a dinosaur today?
Did you see a dinosaur today?

maybe you think they’re not around
maybe you think they’re all in the ground
then one night you hear a sound
there’s something in the shadows
Run!
Run!!!

pa-pa-pa! pa-pa-pa!…

Dinosaur Songs CD release (US)

“Dinosaur Songs” by Daddy Donut is now available on CD. The first retailer is the Science Museum of Minnesota. This year they have an ehibition called “Ultimate Dinosaurs”. Cool! Wish I could go over there and see it. The CD is sold in the Explore Store at the museum. A selection of songs from the Dinosaur Songs CD are also played in the museum theater before every showing of the “Dinosaurs Alive” Imax film.

Visit the website of the Museum and read about the dinosaur exhibition.

Swedish Scientists: Swimming ‘Dinosaurs’ Had Black Skin

Swedish Scientists: Swimming ‘Dinosaurs’ Had Black Skin

Black skin swimmind dinosaurs

A group of Swedish scientist have found out which color dinosaurs actually had. In a new study, Johan Lindgren of Sweden’s Lund University (where Daddy Donut once studied!) and colleagues tried to investigate what color the ancient sea creatures had. They were interested in the colors of extinct marine giants like ichthyosaurs, the mosasaur Tylosaurus, and an extinct leatherback turtle.

“The most sensational aspect of the study is that it can now be established that the analyzed ancient marine reptiles were, at least partially, dark-colored in life,” Lindgren said.

I’m not sure if it’s THAT sensational. My qualified guess would be that the mosasaurs (marine reptiles during the age of the dinosaurs) were dark-colored. But now we know, and that’s a good thing. Read more about the true color of dinosaurs in these articles:

Running from a T.Rex video is going viral

I uploaded the video for “Running from a T.Rex” a few months ago. It was the first song that I finished for the “Dinosaur Songs” album. All of a sudden a few weeks ago the video started getting more and more views and today I saw that it had been seen by 100.000 people. Wow! I’m thrilled.

Thank you all for watching my video! This really inspired me to make more videos in the future. It also made me set a deadline for the album release. The release date for “Dinosaur Songs” is thus set to July 1st 2013. Stay tuned, and keep running!
